ABOUT US
The Pentecostal Church of God is located in the heart of the Quad Cities in Davenport, Iowa. It was founded in 1930 and continues to be a beacon of faith and hope for people from all walks of life. The church has grown from a few families to many families and generations who have worshipped the Lord in Spirit and Truth. It is a place where we are all about faith, family and friends. We are known as a church family where people are helping people and God is helping us all.
Statement of Faith
We believe that the Bible is the infallible, inspired word of God.
We believe in one God, who is eternal, omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent.
We believe that God is revealed to us as Father in creation, Son in redemption and Holy Ghost in the church.
We believe that Jesus Christ is both human and divine.
We believe in the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which is also completed in our lives through repentance, baptism by water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the receiving of the gift of the Holy Ghost.
We believe in the gift of the Holy Ghost by the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives the utterance which empowers and assists the believer to live a holy and sanctified life.
We believe at the return of Jesus Christ the church will be raptured back with him to live eternally with him in heaven.
